Turkish artist exhibits work in Pennsylvania

In the exhibition, Gülen presents his series titled “Motion Abstracts,” which concentrates on the concept of motion blur. Every image in the collection is based on either the movement of the camera or the motion of the subject. His photographs are taken without using any kind of manipulation, montage or computer effects.

Speaking at the exhibit’s opening reception, Gülen said he brings together nature and light in his photographs, adding that “each photographer shows his heart to the world through his photographs. In that sense, an artist is a person who opens his heart and shares it with people and who tries to contribute to humankind with his photographs.” Erzurum-born Gülen, who has a degree in communications/journalism from the International American University in Los Angeles, is working as a freelance photographer and designer.
