The workshop, a joint effort by the İzmir Dokuz Eylül University and Greece's University of the Aegean, started on Thursday and will wrap up on Nov. 11. Angelopoulos will speak at Monday's session. The famed filmmaker on Monday will also receive an honorary doctorate degree from the Dokuz Eylül University for “establishing profound links between the art of cinema and other art branches.”
