Turkish Press Review

Since the coup era is over…

Let us begin by noting that ignoring the action plan, which seeks to interfere with democracy, will not be good for Turkey. Such an action will not be good for the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).

The whole matter and details of the action plan should be clarified so that the army will not be dubbed the usual suspect in anti-democratic movements. Unfortunately, developments so far show there are attempts to make sure the incident goes forgotten and unpunished rather than to see perpetrators brought to justice. This is not good; it is not possible for an institution that gives the impression it is devising a plot against the nation and breaking the law in an attempt to topple the government to gloss over its wrongdoings.
