Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu had almost 45-minute meeting with Lebanon's President Michel Sulayman in the Lebanese capital.

Davutoğlu is paying a two-day visit to Lebanon.

Sulayman and Davutoğlu discussed bilateral relations, efforts to form a new government in Lebanon, and regional developments.

Davutoğlu will later meet Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and Foreign Minister Fawzi Salloukh.

The Turkish minister is expected to return to Turkey after visiting a trauma and rehabilitation center and the Turkish unit under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Turkey is constructing the trauma and rehabilitation center in south of Lebanon. Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of the center.

The center is expected to cost some 20 million USD.
