[The Old Groaner] A long-forgotten film
09 December 2013, Monday / JOHN LAUGHLAND, FETHIYE
I don't know what it was that triggered the thought in my mind, but the thought came suddenly. Had I left batteries in my old film cameras? I stopped whatever I was doing and rushed to the drawer occupied by my collection (as if seconds counted when we had gone digital about 12 years ago!). The older cameras didn't use batteries, of course, but they were all laid out on the dining table and were subject to inspection. Thankfully, none that did use batteries had any installed; I've probably had the same panic several times over the past years.
