There are no Turkcell Super League matches this weekend because of the Turkish national team's commitments in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Estonia today and against Bosnia and Herzegovina next Wednesday.

But the Bank Asya League 1 is continuing in full swing. Black Sea side Boluspor hosts Kocaelispor, demoted from the Super League last season, in the opening match of week three at Atatürk Stadium this evening.

Boluspor lost 2-1 away to Çaykur Rizespor in their Black Sea derby last weekend, meaning Bolu has three points from one win and one loss, while Kocaelispor has one point from one draw and one loss. “Korfez,” as Kocaelispor is popularly known, shared the spoils with Hacettepe last weekend after a 1-1 home draw in a clash of two relegated teams.

The odds favor host Boluspor today, but the fact of the matter is that no soccer match is ever won before it is played. Kickoff is at 4:00 p.m., and the referee will be Süleyman Abay. His assistants will be Şenol Ersoy and Volkan Akçit, while the fourth official will be Volkan Bayarslan.
