Kapıkule Border Gate to be opened after modernization works

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to formally inaugurate modernized Kapıkule Border Gate on June 19.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) concluded modernization works of the border gate with build-operate-transfer model.

Restoration works in Kapıkule Border Gate started last April. The gate will be in service on 330,000 square meters area.

There is a main building including office of the general director, police department and other institutions, as well as a Free Shop, fast-food, restaurant and some other shops in the Kapıkule Border Gate.
