Diva of Egyptian cinema coming to Ankara

The 12th Üçan Süpürge (Flying Broom) International Women’s Film Festival to be held on May 7-14 is preparing to host Magda, known as the diva of Egyptian cinema. Following a showing of the controversial 1958 film “Jamilah the Algerian,” Magda will participate in a panel discussion.

The Egyptian actress, producer and director, now over 60 years old, played the film’s heroine. She will also speak with members of the audience during the panel.
