Cafe Crown tops Erdemirspor in TBL

Galatasaray Cafe Crown beat Erdemirspor 73-71 in the men's Beko Turkish Basketball League (TBL) on Saturday.

In the game, during which both teams were plagued by turnovers and poor offensive play, Erdemirspor was ahead slightly in the sixth minute, at 11-5. Cafe Crown tried to balance the score with shots from Murat and Hüseyin, but Erdemirspor maintained the lead at 16-14.  Though neither team was playing particularly impressively, Galatasaray managed to pull ahead with their offensive game for a 73-71 win. Elsewhere in the TBL: Aliağa Petkim 96, Beşiktaş Cola Turka 104; Mutlu Akü Selçuk Üniversitesi 71, Pinar Karsiyaka 65; Türk Telekomspor 79, OYAK Renault 75; Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi 92, AntalyaKepez Belediyesi 89 and Darüşşafaka Cooper Tires 68, Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi 72. And in the women's Turkish Basketball League (TBBL): Fenerbahçe 65, Tarsus Belediyesi 59 and Çankaya Üniversitesi 76, Ceyhan Belediyesi 62.
