The stores to be restructured were not classified under the normal Migros system that identifies its stores as type M, MM or MMM. According to a Migros press release yesterday, the 5M-format stores will open to serve customers beginning in Ramadan. Migros also says that it has incorporated larger spaces, diversified products and more discounts into the 5M stores. Opening ceremonies for the 5M stores will be held today in Antalya, on Sept. 18 in İstanbul and on Sept. 22 in Ankara. According to the company, the new format will mix local and traditional tastes with global ones and sell at very competitive prices.
