German director Werner Herzog will head the jury at the 2010 Berlin film festival, organizers said on Thursday.

“İki Dil Bir Bavul” (On the Way to School) and “Bornova Bornova,” two triumphs from last month’s Altın Portakal (Golden Orange) International Film Festival, are set to hit the road for this year’s Festival on Wheels traveling film festival, the event’s organizers announced Thursday.
Prominent Turkish author Ömer Lütfi Mete dies
Ömer Lütfi Mete, a 59-year-old journalist, author and scriptwriter, passed away on Wednesday due to heart failure.
Mete experienced a heart attack last year and had since been in outpatient care.

  ‘Goodbye Lenin’ at Goethe-Institut
German director Wolfgang Becker’s “Goodbye Lenin”, a comedic look at Germany before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall, will be shown on Friday at the Goethe-Institut in İstanbul.
