Fenerbahçe’s Mirsad calls it quits

Fenerbahçe Ülker’s Mirsad Türkcan ended his basketball playing career in a friendly against CSKA Moscow at the Ülker Sports Arena on Sunday.

A ceremony was held ahead of the game, where Türkcan made his final appearance as a professional player. More than 10,000 fans were in attendance at the arena, as well as the top brass of Fenerbahçe, including Chairman Aziz Yıldırım, current and former managers and officials from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Yıldırım presented a thank-you plaque and a Fenerbahçe club membership to Türkcan, who will continue working at Fenerbahçe as a foreign relations official for the basketball team. Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe won the game 74-56.
