The Brazilian player, who was on loan from Juve to Galatasaray last season and helped the team clinch the 2011-12 championship, is eager to continue his professional career with the İstanbul club. Juventus also wants to sell Melo to the Lions -- Galatasaray’s nickname. But for one reason or another, a deal hasn’t been signed, sealed or delivered so far. Reports say the Lions and Juve have agreed on 6.5 million euros for Melo’s buyout clause. However, Melo’s agent Emiliano Froldi reportedly rejecting the Galatasaray offer to the player and demanding 7 percent commission of the transfer deal means there is still plenty to talk about. Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim, Chairman Ünal Aysal, Deputy Chairman Ali Dürüst and executive board member Abdürrahim Albayrak have stated categorically on every occasion that what they want is to have Melo on their squad next season. “Melo is a player we want and the technical staff also want him,” Aysal said on June 27. “And I expected this transfer to be concluded within 24 hours,” he further said. But it has not been concluded, if we may add. You can’t always get what you want, they say. The Melo saga has literally turned into a jigsaw puzzle and some faithful Lions fans are running out of patience.
