Soldier kidnapped by PKK rescued by security forces
Vahdettin Kaya, a soldier who was kidnapped by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on June 21 in Bitlis province, was rescued by security forces on Thursday.

Security forces received information that Kaya was being held by PKK terrorists near the villages of Hanelmalı and Kuşluca in the eastern district of Tatvan after being abducted. Acting on the tip, security forces began carrying out operations in villages in the area starting on July 1.

Three days after the start of military operations Kaya was able to escape and was soon found by security forces.
