Yemeksepeti secures $44 mln from General Atlantic

American growth investor General Atlantic has become a minority shareholder in the Turkish online food order company Yemeksepeti with an investment of $44 million.
“That General Atlantic -- after 20 years of investments across Europe -- has selected the Internet sector and us for its first investment in Turkey is an important indicator,” said Yemeksepeti CEO Nevzat Aydın in a company statement.
