Izetbegovic to pay three-day working visit to Turkey

29 July 2012 /TODAY'S ZAMAN
The Bosniak member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Tripartite Presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, will pay a three-day working visit to Turkey on July 30-Aug. 1 and participate in a series of talks with Turkish politicians.

According to a statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Izetbegovic is scheduled to have meetings with President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.

Recent regional and international developments that concern Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey will be high on the agenda of the meetings.

The meetings will also focus on boosting trade relations between the two countries and Turkish investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Relations between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina have been strengthened both by reciprocal high-level visits and the Trilateral Mechanisms (Bosnia-Serbia-Turkey and Bosnia-Croatia-Turkey) initiated by Turkey.

Izetbegovic (Bosniak), Zeljko Komsic (Croat) and Nebojsa Radmanovic (Serb) are members of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Tripartite Presidency.
