Turkey on Sunday sent military reinforcements to its border with Syria via the southeastern province of Mardin, the Anatolia news agency reported.

Anatolia said the military deployed ground-to-air missiles to military barracks in the Nusaybin district, along the border with Syria, via a train that was loaded from a station in Mardin.

Tensions between Turkey and Syria hit a new low last month when the latter downed a Turkish jet in international airspace. Turkey earlier announced that it would no longer tolerate security threats from Syria along its border, further escalating tensions.

If major war brakes out, every single nation will be on it's own. Do not rely on NATO or Putin or Iran nor China.! They will be busy with their own stuff-staff. Everyone knows that, right, just making sure! No other Turkiye = Baska Turkiye yok!

@ Hammad Sethi: Dont blame the 1971 murdering of 3 Million innocent Bengalis by the Pakistani MIlitary on the West. That was the fault of the Kafir Pakistani Military leadership of the time. Turkey is doing just fine; it should continue supporting the rebels against Bashar al-Assad.

Turkey is making the same mistake in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon, that once we Pakistanis made in Bangladesh and Afghanistan. We also had Christian West behind us who stabbed us in the back. Today Bangladeshis and Afghans hate Pakistanis and USA and Christian West are using the situation against Pakist...
