Bus bursts into flames in Bolu

The accident occurred when the engine of the bus, which was carrying 35 passengers, suddenly burst into flames. Fireman arrived on the scene and brought the fire under control. The passengers were then conveyed to another bus.

Police officers took tight safety measures and the highway was closed off to traffic for a short period. The driver, Mustafa İpek, said he did not at first understand what happened, but immediately pulled over, turned off the engine and allowed the passengers to exit the vehicle.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
