Spor Toto Super League side Trabzonspor signed a five-year contract with Ivory Coast international Souleymane “Sol” Bamba, the Black Sea club announced on Tuesday.

Trabzonspor will pay a total of 5.189 million euros, excluding any extras, over five years. Bamba will receive approximately 1.07 million euros during each of his first two seasons and just over 1 million euros for the remaining three seasons with the Storm, as Trabzonspor is commonly called. The Turkish team earlier announced that it would pay 750,000 euros to Bamba’s previous club Leicester City, a second division English team, for his transfer fees. Ivorian defender Bamba started his career with Paris Saint-Germain in 2004 and joined Dunfermline Athletic of Scotland in 2006. After two years there he moved to another Scottish team, Hibernian, in 2008 before being acquired by Leicester City in 2011. The 27-year-old has played for the Ivory Coast national team since 2008.
