Treasury earned TL 3.4 billion from sale of state land since 2002

Responding to a written parliamentary question from Republican People's Party (CHP) Zonguldak deputy Ali İhsan Köktürk, Şimşek stated recently that the three provinces from which the Treasury earned the most revenue during this period were İstanbul, with approximately TL1.1 billion, Ankara (approximately TL 561 million) and İzmir (approximately TL 273 million).

The minister also stated that 2005 was the most profitable year for the Treasury, with total sales of Treasury-owned land amounting to TL 673 million.
