On Monday the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts in İstanbul’s Sultanahmet unveiled an exhibition of works by Turkish artist İsmail Acar, who is marking the 20th year of his career in 2012.

The exhibit brings together Acar’s paintings and sculptures -- themed around such concepts as the creation of the universe and humans, love, power, fear and Judgment Day -- side by side with the museum’s permanent collection. Titled “5 Duyu 5 Olgu” (5 Senses, 5 Facts), the show will run until Sept. 19.
