Shawkat Amin Korki to attend SineMardin fest

Iraqi Kurdish director Shawkat Amin Korki, best known among cinephiles for his critically acclaimed sophomore feature effort “Kick off Kirku,” will be one of the special guests of this month’s SineMardin International Film Festival in the southeastern Turkish province of Mardin.

In his first-ever visit to Turkey, the international award-winning young filmmaker will present “Kick off Kirku” to SineMardin audiences and will also speak about his upcoming projects. The Seventh SineMardin International Film Festival will run June 8-15.
