Prosecutor detained over bribery charges

A public prosecutor in Edirne, identified only by his initials as C.K., was detained on bribery charges on Friday.

C.K. was detained as part of an investigation being carried out by Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor Uğur Yiğitbilek over charges that he received a bribe from a suspect in a probe that he was overseeing.

The investigation into the incident is still in progress.
