Relatives of patient storm into doctor's room in İstanbul
Relatives of a patient who underwent surgery at the İstanbul University Haseki Cardiology Institute stormed into the hospital after learning that the patient was deteriorating.
Burhan Denizhan, 56, was taken to an intensive care unit after he had surgery at the hospital. Relatives were first informed that the patient's health was improving. However, after the doctors said Denizhan's health condition was deteriorating, the relatives stormed into and ransacked the office of Selim Erentürk, the surgeon who conducted the operation on the patient. Hospital personnel escaped the scene because they feared for their lives.
Police took security measures at the hospital to keep people safe in the event of a possible attack.
