Achilles Samandji’s İstanbul at Sismanoglio Megaro

The Consulate General of Greece in İstanbul is hosting a photo exhibition in the Sismanoglio Megaro in Beyoğlu, offering art lovers a chance to revisit İstanbul at the turn of the 20th century.

Titled “İstanbul through the lens of Achilles Samandji and Eugene Dalleggio,” the exhibit will continue until June 20. A large number of the pictures in the collection are by Samandji, who was born in İstanbul in 1870 and served as a photographer for the Ottoman court. Photographs by his daughter’s husband, Dalleggio, an amateur photographer, are also featured. Visiting hours: 3 p.m.-8 p.m. weekdays; 12 p.m.-7 p.m. weekends
