A selection of Dutch films that won the Academy Award or were nominated for a foreign language Oscar is being presented this month in a screening program at the Akbank Art Center in İstanbul’s Taksim as part of a wide-ranging series of cultural events marking the 400th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Turkey and the Netherlands.
Held in collaboration with the Amsterdam-based Eye Film Institute, the program offers five films, including Marleen Gorris’s 1995 film “Antonia’s Line” and Martin Koolhoven’s 2008 film “Oorlogswinter” (Winter in Wartime). Admission to all screenings is free. For the full schedule, check www.akbanksanat.com.
