Two major traffic accidents claimed four lives in the provinces of Manisa and Adıyaman on Thursday. The first crash happened in Manisa province when a car weaved into oncoming traffic and slammed into a truck.
The accident claimed three lives and left five others injured. The second accident occurred in Adıyaman’s Gölbaşı district when a pedestrian was hit by a car while trying to cross the street. Health Minister İdris Naim Şahin announced in Ankara on Thursday that there have been 570,599 traffic accidents across the country over the past five years. The accidents claimed 21,433 lives and left 1,023,422 people injured.
