Euros qualification round kicks off

The second qualification round for the men’s 2012 European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Junior Volleyball European Championship begins at Ankara’s TVF Başkent Arena on Wednesday.
The Pool D games will take place in the capital. Turkey will meet Germany, Portugal, Slovakia, Latvia and Austria. Turkey takes on Austria on the first day at 7 p.m. The second qualification round games in Ankara will conclude on Sunday. The leader of the pool will earn a berth to take part in the championship, set to take place from Aug. 25 to Sept. 2 in Denmark and Poland. The teams to take second and third place will participate in the third qualification round.
