Galatasaray issued a message on Sunday expressing its sadness at the loss of the club’s oldest known fan, 107-year-old Fatma Çolak.

Titled “Fatma Nine’yi kaybettik” (We’ve lost Grandma Fatma), the statement said she was born in the same year as the club was founded and was the oldest Galatasaray fan. Çolak always followed Galatasaray games despite her old age. She had two children and 20 grandchildren. Çolak passed away at her house in Artvin’s Şavşat district. Her dream came true when she went to the club’s legendary Ali Sami Yen stadium, which no longer exists, on Oct. 17, 2010, to watch a Galatasaray-Ankaragücü match. The İstanbul club offered condolences to her family as well.
