Fenerbahçe Grundig clinched the men’s Teledünya Turkish Cup after defeating archrivals Galatasaray 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 17-25) at Eskişehir’s Anadolu University Arena on Sunday.
Galatasaray started the game off on a good note but it was Fenerbahçe that took the lead in the first set 25-20. Galatasaray took a 25-23 lead in the second set and tied the score. Even though Galatasaray took a 19-18 lead in the third quarter, Fenerbahçe managed to gain the upper hand after a break and never looked back. They led the third set 25-23 and concluded the game with a 25-17 lead in the fourth set. Sunday’s victory marked the second Turkish Cup win in Fenerbahçe’s history.
