One arrested in Karasu reservoir incident

Five employees of the Turkish Electricity Distribution Company (TEDAŞ) went missing when their pedal boat overturned in the reservoir on Tuesday. Their bodies were found by rescue teams on Wednesday and Thursday after an extensive search.

Four suspects were detained on charges of negligence in the deadly incident on Thursday.

An Erzurum court arrested Tuncer Yeşilyurt, a TEDAŞ manager responsible for the operation and maintenance of dams, and released the other three pending trial.
