Turkey’s youth national team has convened in İstanbul in preparation for a friendly game against Denmark, slated for Feb. 29.
Except for Rıdvan Şimşek from Bank Asya League 1 leader Elazığspor and Murat Akça from Super League side Sivasspor, the other footballers on the squad met at the WOW Hotel İstanbul on Sunday evening. The youth team will have two training sessions, one that was held yesterday and another today, at the Florya Metin Oktay Sports Complex and Training Center. The Turkey-Denmark friendly will take place at Kasımpaşa Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium at 2 p.m. Christopher Lautier from the Malta Football Federation will be the referee of the game.
