TPAO purchases own seismic research ship

The purchase however needed to be concluded through a specific procedure that required the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) to hire the ship first and finalize the purchase eventually after proper paperwork and obtained clearances, officials added. The Mining Exploration Institute (MTA) is currently having a third ship built for its own use, officials also announced, in a simultaneous process at the end of which Turkey will have three seismic research ships total, enabling the country to conduct research in a more efficient fashion.
