Mayda went to the skyscraper Thursday to work on the cargo elevator located in Block B of the building. Millenium 2 employees notified the police and fire rescue teams, who extracted Mayda's body from the chute.

In Antalya's Muratpaşa district a 5-year-old died when a tree fell on him while he was playing. O.K. was uprooting a tree using a construction excavator. The tree toppled over, hitting Osman Açan, who had been playing in his grandfather's garden. The child was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police detained the excavator operator.

In another elevator accident, a college student working as a waiter broke his neck in Antalya's Alanya district. Hüseyin Çiçek (23) wheeled a cart into the elevator of the hotel where he worked. The cart became stuck in the elevator door and shot up, hitting Çiçek in the head and breaking his neck. Çiçek was taken to the hospital, where he subsequently died from his injuries.

A farm worker was killed after falling from a tomato truck in Balıkesir's Kepsut district. Truck driver İdris T. Two farm workers, Gülbahar Duman (67) and Ayten Derak (72), who had been riding inside, fell from the truck along with the crates of tomatoes. Both were severely injured and were taken to the hospital, where Duman subsequently died, and Derak is still undergoing treatment.

A teenager was tragically killed when two friends accidentally shot him in Adana's Ceyhan district. Muzaffer Hayırkuş (15) and two friends were in the village of Yellibel when they decided to play a game with hunting rifles.
