‘That Woman’

The first full biography of Wallis Simpson by a woman, “That Woman” attempts to understand the enigmatic American divorcee who nearly became Queen of England. “That woman,” as the Queen Mother referred to her, became a hated figure for allegedly ensnaring a British king. Neither beautiful nor brilliant, she nevertheless became one of the most talked-about women of her generation.
