FT: world's most livable city is İstanbul

30 May 2011 /TODAY'S ZAMAN
In a poll carried out by one of the world's leading business news dailies, the Financial Times, İstanbul was chosen as the most livable city in the world. It was followed by London and New York.

"İstanbul is cosmopolitan, busy, young in its population but historic in its fabric, socially mixed with a huge disparity of income, accessible and a city that has always built on its status as a bridge between not just continents but civilizations, ideas, religions and peoples," the daily wrote.

According to the poll, the most livable cities are İstanbul, London, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Rome, Rio, Sydney, Honk Kong and Delhi, in that order.
