A court has arrested 14 people out of 18 suspects who were referred to the court as part of a court case opened after an operation in Ankara on Monday, the Ankara Police Department has said.
The Ankara police in a statement they released on Thursday said they had organized a raid targeting members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and its alleged political offshoot, the Kurdistan Community Union (KCK), seizing some weapons and propaganda material promoting the terrorist organizations.
The statement said the police have detained 18 people who were believed to have threatened people and planned to commit violent acts. Fourteen people of 18 suspects who were referred to the court were arrested on charges of being members of a terrorist organization.
