Turkish President Abdullah Gül has had talks with his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Gül's meeting was on the sidelines of the Fourth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC-IV), which kicked off in İstanbul on Monday.
Ahmadinejad is visiting İstanbul on a one-day trip to attend the LDC-IV summit. The 40-minute meeting between Gül and Ahmadinejad was closed to the press.
Gül also had talks with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai on Monday on the sidelines of the LDC-IV summit.
