Gül meets Iranian counterpart

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi also attended the meeting.

Following their meeting, the two leaders co-chaired meetings between Turkish and Iranian delegations.

Later in the day, Gül will address Turkish and Iranian businessmen at the Turkey-Iran Business Council. He will also receive First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretary-General Yahya Maroofi and Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Secretary-General Mahmud Erol Kılıç.

Gül will partake in a banquet to be hosted in his honor by President Ahmadinejad.
