Tanbay’s ‘Araz’ set for CRR performance next week

Zeynep Tanbay, one of the most renowned representatives of modern dance in Turkey, and her company, the Zeynep Tanbay Dance Project (ZTDP), will stage their most recent show, “Araz,” at İstanbul’s Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall next week.

Featuring choreography by Tanbay to music by such composers and acts as Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen, Burhan Öcal, Mercan Dede and Baba Zula, the 14-part show “Araz” is billed as an exploration of “lives squeezed between red lines.” Next week’s performance is scheduled for Feb. 11.
