CSO hosts Russian soloists for New Year’s concert

Russian artists will grace the stage with guest performances as soloists in this week’s traditional New Year’s concert by the Ankara-based Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO).

 Soprano Ulyana Starkova, mezzo-soprano Olga Osipova, tenor Roman Muravitsky, bass Evgeny Stavinsky and balalaika virtuoso Andrey Gorbachev will take to the stage with the CSO in tonight’s concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Ankara Sports Center. The orchestra and soloists, under the baton of revered maestro Rengim Gökmen, will present a program consisting of a special selection of arias from classics of the world opera repertoire.
