Livaneli to mark 40th year with special CD set

The first five albums by contemporary Turkish folk singer-songwriter Zülfü Livaneli will be re-released next year as a special boxed set to mark the 40th anniversary of the prolific artist’s career.

Livaneli, who is also a revered filmmaker and author, will personally sign cards to be included in each set. Featured will be the CDs “Merhaba,” “Nazım Türküsü,” “Atlının Türküsü,” “Günlerimiz,” as well as the first album in Livaneli’s career, “Vurulduk Ey Halkım -- İlk Türküler,” which was originally released in 1971
