The 30th International Trabzon Half Marathon, jointly organized by the Trabzon Municipality and the Trabzon Provincial Youth and Sport Directorate, took place on Sunday.
The race started from the Emperyal overpass and finished in front of the Trabzon municipal building. Mehmet Çağlayan won the 21.1-kilometer marathon in 1:04:23 on behalf of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. Kenyan Moses Too took second place with 1:05:04, and Abdül Ceylan from the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality won third place with 1:05:44.In the women’s competition, Nilay Esen, competing on behalf of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, won first place with a time of 1:22:55. Independent runner from Eskişehir Mehtap Sızmaz came second with 1:23:03, and Narin Kahraman from Eskişehir University took third place with 1:24:11.
