Sergeant killed in counterterrorism operation in Batman

A gendarmerie sergeant has been killed by outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorists during an operation in the eastern province of Batman.
According to a statement released by the General Staff on its Web site, one sergeant died and another was injured in a counterterrorism operation against the PKK in the Sason region of Batman.
