A group of Turkish and Arab journalists established the Arab-Turkish Cultural Bridge League (ATACA) in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on Sunday. The society was established by the Arab-Turkish Journalists Association with the aim of promoting media relations between Turkey and Arab countries, Anatolia news agency reported on Sunday.

Mujip Rusti, chairperson of the newly formed organization, said during a reception to mark the league’s establishment that ATACA aims to contribute to improving relations and dialogue between Turkey and the Arab world.

The reception at Cairo’s Four Seasons Hotel was attended by the Turkish Ambassador in Cairo, Huseyin Avni Botsali, as well as by the Egyptian Ambassador in Ankara, Abdurrahman Selahaddin. ATACA Vice Chairman Cumali Önal said the first action of the society will be to take a large group of Arab journalists to Turkey.
