It seems that the latest attack on the Aktütün outpost will be a turning point in terms of Turkey's fight against PKK terrorists.
We are at the beginning of a new era when the military and its commanders will be questioned for what they have done and they have not done. In fact, this process already began two years ago when a relative of a fallen soldier questioned the military loudly. Turkish society, which has sacrificed thousands of people to its struggle against PKK terrorism, has the right to question this war and ask whether it is being prosecuted properly or not. The strange thing here is that many people, during the soldiers' funerals simply said "God bless Turkey," without a thought to the reasons behind the soldiers' deaths. Soldiers are not used to being accountable for their mistakes, even about their profession. In contrast, they think that they can question, interrogate, threaten or even overthrow civilian politicians.
