Sudan calls on Turkish entrepreneurs to invest

13 September 2008 /TODAY’S ZAMAN WITH WIRES
Sudan wants to open up a large part of its agricultural investment opportunities to Turkish businessmen, a Sudanese official said on Friday.
The executive body that convened for the third time since it was created under a protocol on scientific and technical cooperation in agriculture signed between the two nations in 1999 drafted a working plan which was then signed in Ankara by Turkish and Sudanese officials. Under the protocol, Turkey will train 100 Sudanese agricultural technicians and the two countries would continue to cooperate in animal health, vegetable production improvement and agricultural technology. Turkey and Sudan will also set up a “model farm” in Sudan.
