“There are many business opportunities all over the world, and Turkish businessmen are already late in discovering them,” said Rızanur Meral, chairman of the Turkish Businessmen’s and Industrialists Confederation (TUSKON).
Meral made a speech at an Antalya Enterpreneurs and Businessmen’s Association (AGİD) meeting on Saturday and spoke about business trips abroad. Meral said he had talked to associates running businesses in Cameroon; the government has allocated them 10 acres of land in a free zone. “If the Europeans had such an opportunity, they would fill that land totally,” he said, adding that Greek investors had a large share in Cameroon’s business life. “From now on we have to see that the whole world is a playing field for investors,” Meral emphasized. At the end of his speech, Meral informed the audience that 850 businessmen and numerous bureaucrats from Africa were going to visit Turkey in May at the invitation of TUSKON.
