7 more Syrian generals defect to Turkey

Seven generals who recently defected from the Syrian army arrived with their families at the Turkish-Syrian border on Tuesday and were allowed to enter the country at the town of Reyhanlı in the southern province of Hatay under tight security measures.

The generals were then sent to the Apaydın military camp, which hosts high-ranking military officers and their families. These latest defections bring the total number of Syrian generals in Turkey to 42.

The 20-month conflict in Syria has brought a total of 157,454 Syrian citizens to Turkey, 111,890 of whom have remained as refugees with the remaining 45,564 having returned to Syria, according to the latest statement from the Prime Ministry's Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD).

These refugees are accommodated in a total of 13 tent cities and one container city that were built by AFAD in seven Turkish provinces along the Syrian border: Hatay, Şanlıurfa, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Adıyaman, Kilis and Kahramanmaraş. These camps address the refugees' health, security, financial access, communication, social activity and educational needs. They are also given three meals a day.

Wow, how many Generals does Syria have? It seems every second solider from Syria that defects to Turkey is a General, they should all apply to join the Turkish armed forces, since most of Turkish Generals are being sent away to jail for being a member of the other terrorist organizatiuon Erg....

Are the Turkishs to proud to admit, that every defector is offered a very high sum of Qatari money, if he defects? Or are there other reasons, that such a relevant information is not mentioned in this article?
