Turkey denies its ambulances targeted by Syrian army
Turkey has denied reports that the Syrian army destroyed Turkish ambulances that are carrying Syrian opposition fighters in northwestern province of Idlib, where Syrian air forces have escalated air bombardment recently.
Turkish Health Ministry dismissed in a statement it released on Wednesday that its ambulances are carrying Syrian opposition fighters and denied reports that they are hit by the Syrian army.
Iran’s Press TV, citing Al-Alam TV channel reports, claimed that the Syrian army targeted and destroyed three Turkish ambulances “while they were transporting insurgents from Turkey into the northwestern city of Idlib near the border.”
The statement reiterated previous remarks that no Turkish ambulances crossed the Syrian border.
